Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, to undertake all aspects of financial management within my clients organisation.
Managing all accounting operations including.
o Sales invoicing
o Monitoring retention's and invoicing when due
o Credit control
o Customers statements
o Supplier invoices and checking accuracy of processing by the assistant of supplier invoices
o Supplier payments
o Subcontractor payments
o Construction industry scheme (CIS) - verification of subcontractors, deduction of CIS tax and submission of monthly subcontractor returns to HMRC
o Allocation of all bank payments and receipts
o Bank reconciliation
o Monthly nominal/balance sheet reconciliation
o P11D preparation and submission
o Ensure quality control of financial transaction
o Expenses approval and allocation and payments
o Prepare and create management reports on monthly financial statement
o VAT return preparation and submission, including correct application of reverse charge VAT
o Year end working papers ready for submission to external accountants
o Approval and allocation of timesheets to jobs and payroll file
o Preparation of payroll file to be issued to external payroll provider
o Three month rolling cash flow; updating and monitoring
o Payment of CIS, PAYE and Corporation tax to HMRC
o Risk assessment for new customers; obtaining credit checks and or credit insurance cover from insurers. Liaising with insurers
o Managing fixed asset register
o Journal entries including depreciation, prepayments and accruals
o HR duties to include, monitoring holidays and sickness and ensuring approval, new starter packs
The above role is based on a permanent full-time basis.
