Job Details

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Fleet Controller to work on a full-time contract in Sidcup, Kent.

The role holder will be required to provide support to the Customer Relationships team by undertaking effective customer engagement, focusing on availability and utilisation of vehicles, and providing administrative support to deliver fleet projects to a high standard to enhance the overall fleet operation and ensure that we meet operational demands and keep London safe by ensuring a safe, fit-for-purpose and available fleet in the most efficient and cost effective way.

Key responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with both internal and external suppliers, challenging performance and availability issues to ensure optimal service levels and ensure correct accountability and governance processes are followed
Support the Customer Relationships team in the provision of a safe, available and fit for purpose fleet, also dealing with additional demands to support operational policing.
Through effective customer engagement, drive the evolution of the fleet in line with the 2030 zero emission target by managing behaviour towards hybrid and electric vehicles, ensuring the correct allocation of vehicles
Manage, challenge and process requests for additional vehicles, ensuring they are all accounted for and that the correct governance is followed, ensuring the recovery of assets at agreed return dates.Knowledge:

In depth understanding of the different teams within Fleet Services, and how they interact with each other
A good understanding of the different vehicle roles across the fleet, including user requirements
Good knowledge of fleet administration and the implications including insurance, congestion charging, Emissions zones, Notice of Intended Prosecution and Penalty Charge Notices
Good knowledge and understanding of H&S and wellbeing requirements and their application within a fleet environmentSkills:

Ability to develop strong working relationships, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Support the delivery of fleet projects
Ability to interpret, analyse and manipulate data, with attention to detail and accuracy. Presenting reports to customers and supporting the team with information for high level presentations.
Flexible and dynamic approach to meet changing circumstances, ad hoc situations and support continuous improvement
Excellent administration and organisational skills, with the ability to plan monitor and deliver to a high standardExperience:

Managing relationships and working collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders in order to find the best solutions
Experienced working within a results driven environment, customer focused and a team player, being self-motivated and proactive in delivering requirements to a high standard
Ability to manage and prioritise workloads adapting to changing demands
Experience in IT systems and ability to understand and translate data for presentation and reportsQualifications:
