An international manufacturing company are looking for a Production Planner to join the team at their site in Chester le Street on a permanent basis
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, diverse business.
Role & Responsibilities
* Producing a weekly manufacturing plan for a variety of products
* Ensuring stock levels are maintained and customer specific orders are manufactured OTIF
* Monitoring product stock levels for production creating process orders and controlling the handover of process to the Scheduling and Production department
* Liaising with the Purchasing department to ensure all materials and components are available to enable production to be completed on time
* Providing updates to the commercial teams with regards to supply chain challenges impacting our ability to maintain stock levels or deliver customer orders
* Reviewing product demand and propose changes to manufacturing where necessary to optimise cost, stock turnover and manufacturing efficiency.
Knowledge & Experience
* Proven experience in a Planning role within a busy manufacturing environment
* Knowledge and experience using ERP systems with production planning transactions
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel
* The ability to work well under pressure
* Highly organised and able to multitask and prioritise a heavy workload
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
