Job Details

Amazing freelance opportunity on HS2! My Client one of the main joint ventures working on HS2 is looking to bring in a Senior Engineer to work on their part of the project in Crewe. Excellent and competitive rates of pay as well as long term work!

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the tender process when required including the use of specialist software where needed
Provide input to project programmes, getting involved at early stages of the project to understand the methodology
Manage, implement and complete the ITP during the works.
Ensure site teams adhere to drawings.
Assess potential issues from drawings with Site Manager.
Lead and manage the technical query process alongside the project team to ensure solutions reached in a timely manner.
Deputise when necessary for the Lead Engineer, attend meetings / site walkouts.
Develop strong, proactive client relationships
Ensure the Site Engineering teams are developing and understanding the importance of ITP and Quality checksThe Ideal Candidate:

Construction / Rail Engineering experience
Experience of current setting out procedures and equipment (Leica Total station / Dual Grade lasers)
Flexible, versatile and motivated
Ability to work on your own but thrives within the team
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Attention to detail
Good communication skills at all levels
Willingness to undergo further training to advance knowledge
Health and safety awareness specifically within the Rail/Civils Sector
COSS qualification
HNC / HND / Degree qualification in Civils
SMSTS
