ICT Technician Apprentice, Information Technology based in Coventry, salary £4.30 per hour, Term time only plus additional annual leave

The Company:

We are an IT support company based in Coventry. We specialise within the education sector and provide a wide range of services to assist schools to utilise technologies in and out of classrooms.

We are going through an exciting period of growth, and we are now looking to recruit an ICT Technician Apprentice to support and develop clients IT infrastructure and other technologies, with plenty of exciting projects to get involved in.

This is a part-time, permanent position working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hours are to be agreed.

Please note, a DBS check will be a requirement of this role.

 

ICT Technician Apprentice Main Duties:

  • Ensuring all computers, laptops and any other ICT hardware are working to their full capacity.
  • Providing front line technical support to all staff and children for computer related problems.
  • Providing advice and support on any IT system, with the support from your manager.
  • Maintaining all aspects of the network alongside ICT support.
  • Managing the iPad devices and deploying Apps.
  • Managing and monitoring safeguarding alerts.
  • Managing Office 365 and Google Workspace environments.
  • Managing computer policies; ensuring the clients acceptable use policy is enforced.
  • Ensuring all ICT computer hardware is kept up to date.
  • Fulfilling and undertaking any further ICT duties which may be required.

 

ICT Technician Apprentice Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Full, valid UK/EU driving licence with use of own car is desirable but not essential.
  • A keen interest in IT with a willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to further your knowledge in Information Technology.
  • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to take ownership of your own workload.
