Alliance Personnel are currently recruiting for Import and Export assistant to join one of their clients based in Birmingham.

To promote their client, you will be required to provide excellent customer service and create good relationships within the whole supply chain. The person will need to have a flexible and cross-functional approach, working with existing disciplines, but also having the ability to fulfil some of the functions when required for efficiency.

The role will incorporate the following:

* Primary point of contact for customers.

* Maintain / create the CRM (Customer Relation Management module) records for customers and prospects.

* Load orders and forecasts to EFACS (inventory / Finance software).

* Monitor suppliers, expedite and provide feed-back to customers proactively.

* Utilize customer portals.

* Co-ordinate shipments / collections depending on trading conditions agreed.

* Liaise with inbound and outbound carriers for shipment status.

* Monitor and progress any ECN’s (Engineering Change Notification – design changes) and work with Commercial/ Technical / Suppliers on liability and quotation.

* Liaise with customer and supplier on tooling / additional tooling requirements.

* Produce delivery paperwork and potentially commercial invoices for shipments.

* Review processes and generate efficiency improvements.

* Provide support for the Sales Admin Team as directed by the Manager.

The position reports to the Sales Administration Manager however close working relationships will be required with the Commercial team, Purchasing and Logistics.
