Are you an experienced chef looking for a new challenge, to excel in a renowned brand within the horticulture industry?

We are looking for a Head Cook for a great company, with an international reputation, to join one of their successful garden centres with hotel grounds, using amazing fresh produce to create high quality home-made dishes.

As the most senior person in the kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operation and staff, on top of a great salary of up to £30,000 per annum, you will receive some great training and development opportunities.

Key Information:

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5/7 days, straight shifts, alternate weekends
Location: Brentford
Contract: PermanentDuties include:

Following company menus and specifications to produce quality food and excellent presentation.
Managing food orders, deliveries, storage, and stock control to required health and hygiene regulations.
Maintain, monitor, and manage hygienic working practices in kitchen areas.
Planning and effectively using time to ensure all food is prepared and served at the correct times
Manage and control inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
Ensuring efficient utilisation of kitchen space ensuring stock is stored efficiently
Conduct regular appraisals of all staff, encourage performance feedback, and use as a forum to discuss developmental needs.
Run meetings with staff to update and inform key information
Any other reasonable duties that are deemed necessary to fulfil the needs of the business.Benefits:

Minimum of 2 years as Lead Cook or Sous Chef in a high-quality establishment
Qualified with a minimum of NVQ level 2 in Food preparation/professional cookery or equivalent
Excellent standards of health and hygiene
Demonstrate good people management skills
Passion for hospitality
