Job Title: School Governance Administrator

Pay: £12.00 - £13.00 per hour

Job Type: Temporary; Ongoing Contract

Location: Smethwick

Hours: 8:00am until 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am until 3.30pm Friday

Start Date: Immediately

Office Angels are delighted to be working in partnership with an established secondary school located in the Smethwick area to assist with the recruitment of a Governance Administrator who will be responsible to co-ordinate a wide range of administrative tasks in an efficient and organised manner. Good governance is critical to school improvement and to the achievement of strategic objectives. Within this role you will be an integral part of ensuring day-to-day delivery of effective governance at all levels and will act as a main point of contact for associated schools. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and highly collaborative team that are committed to providing support and ensuring added value through robust governance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assisting the Governance Officer with all aspects of administration
Maintaining the governance portal and update where needed
Liaising with staff to ensure reports are prepared and uploaded to the governance portal
Establishing a clear communication path and reporting structure to Principals of schools
First point of contact for all day-to-day governance enquires
Keeping up to date with most recent governance & compliance legislation
Assist with the organising of events, conferences and meetings
Handling office tasks, such as filing, generating reports and presentations, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies
Organising and facilitating of meetings and training events within the TrustSkills / Experience required:

A strong background within administration (Essential)
Previous experience of working in a similar role within education (desirable)
General understanding / knowledge in relation to governance
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to use own initiative
Good interpersonal skills
