Nights / PM Warehouse Shift Manager - Leading 3PL Distributor - Bury St Edmunds.
Client Details
Page Personnel are working in partnership with a UK leading 3PL and key FMCG service provider throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland helping deliver a tailored service.
They are now on the lookout for a Nights / PM Warehouse Shift Manager to join their rapidly growing network and play a key-part in managing the team and supporting further expansion.
The ideal candidate will be willing to work across a Sunday to Thursday shift pattern, typically 22:00 - 06:00.
Description
Key responsibilities for the Nights / PM Warehouse Shift Manager in Bury St Edmunds;
Work with the customers in order to understand their requirements and expectations, and acting as the senior century staff member on the shop floor.
Understand our customer's issues and help drive business improvements
Assist the managers and other supervisors in their roles.
To train, develop and motivate staff within framework of Job Descriptions, and competency and skills matrix.
Optimise the utilisation of all assets across the operations.
To ensure that all staff on site operate within all current legislation
produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Work with contract managers and or supervisors to ensure H&S management best practice is applied, and investigations and correction actions are applied rigorously
Ensure staff act and conduct themselves in a safe manner in accordance with H&S guidelines
Ensure site housekeeping is carried out regularly
Ensure MHE is checked daily before use
Support the team to ensure that stock records are kept accurate and up to date
Ensure operational activities (intake, put away, pick, pack, label, despatch) are conducted in an accurate and timely manner
Monitor and manage staff productivity and accuracy and take action as requiredProfile
The ideal candidate for the Nights / PM Warehouse Shift Manager will possess and be able to demonstrate the following
Have a logistics distribution and supply chain background - Essential
Have managed in excess of 20+ warehouse colleagues previously.
Numerate and literate with a good level of education to GCSE standard or equivalent - Essential
Familiar with various Warehouse Management Systems
Relevant history of people-management, having previously worked at a supervisor level either within Century or in a previous role - Essential
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organisation - Essential
Commutable to Bury St Edmunds. Job Offer
