Acoustic Technician, Noise and Vibration Consultants based in Rugby, Salary £23,000 per annum, Company car and training courses provided.

The Company are an established acoustics consultancy with a close-knit team of consultants and technicians operating nationally. We offer professional advice and monitoring services, to the construction industry, for a range of issues concerning acoustics, noise and vibration.

The team is looking for an Acoustic Technician to support the wider acoustics team with all aspects of field work including sound insulation testing and equipment management.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Due to the requirements of the role, you may be requested to evenings and weekends.

Acoustic Technician Main Duties:

  • Carrying out Sound Insulation Testing. Full training will be provided.
  • Setting kit out at test sites for Environmental noise surveys.
  • Liaising with customers and other members of staff.
  • Processing and organising data and photographs for each site visited.
  • Liaising with Site Managers for Health and Safety purposes.
  • Undertaking any other work suitable to the role.

Acoustic Technician Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Educated at GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above.
  • Previous experience with sound level meters, noise monitoring or sound insulation testing is desirable.
  • Knowledge using the Microsoft Office package, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • A can-do attitude with a flexible approach.
  • Ability to remain calm when under pressure.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Willingness to undertake any other duties.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
