Page Personnel are working in partnership with a world leading waste solutions & recognised as key FMCG service provider throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland helping deliver a tailored service.
They are now on the lookout for a Transport Manager to join their rapidly growing network on a Monday-Friday basis and play a key-part in building the team and supporting further expansion
Description
As a Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties based in Ipswich;
Weekly and daily KPI reports
Manage drivers on a daily basis & resolve any issue they may have
Work with customer service dealing with salesforce enquiries
Planning driver schedules
Generating paperwork for drivers
Control drivers holidays and arrange route cover
Manage stock levels on site
Order replacement stock using proactis
Unloading of stock deliveries
Organise vehicle servicing and maintenance
Manage any vehicle breakdowns
Delivery and collection of vehicles from garages and hire companies
Downloading of vehicle tacho units and cameras
Monitor vehicle damage
Cover service administrators
Arrange permit to works for on site contractors
Monitor and control absence
Complete accident and incident forms and submit within time set limits
Ensure regular driver assessments and work observations are completedProfile
The Transport Manager will come from a relevant Transport/Distribution discipline - The successful candidate will have the following;
Have a logistics distribution and supply chain background
CPC Qualified would be an advantage
Background working within a FMCG, food, healthcare, pharmaceutical sector
LGV Licence would be an advantage
History of managing 20+ vehicles and drivers
ADR Licence would be an advantage
Potential handling of clinical waste (immunisation required) DSE
Develop ongoing relationships with colleagues.
Manage expectations of the site service team.The ideal candidate has worked within multi-drop environments previously (Desirable)
Job Offer
£33,000 - £35,000 based on background and relevant qualifications
