Description
The Transport Manager will be working as part of a small team in an extremely successful organisation, and will be responsible for the following:
Plan and Manage the fleet, across core and subcontracted routes
Maintain customer satisfaction, engaging with a multitude of stakeholders
Brief and debrief drivers, ensuring WTD and Tachograph requirements
Achieve agreed contractual KPIs within the business and to reach SLAs
Minimise costs such as fuel, whilst maximising capacity through forward planning, back-loading and identifying areas for cost saving
Ensure maximum use of resources in a cost-effective manner - Proactively work to reduce late deliveries and missed time slots
Ensure enquiries, pricing requests and quotes are cost-effective and responded to in good time
Keep up to date with current legislation regarding Road Haulage regulationsProfile
The successful Transport Manager will report to the Managing Director of the business, and will display the following:
Proven work experience as a Transport Manager
Strong General Haulage background, working with a reasonable sized fleet (25+)
National CPC
Experience managing various stakeholders, both internal and external
Tachograph and WTD knowledge
Strong load planning skills and a history of working with third parties
Proven Customer Service experience
Ability to supervise and train staffJob Offer
This Role Offers:
£33,000 - £40,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Company Bonus Scheme
Monday to Friday
