We are looking for a receptionist to provide professional front desk services to staff and visitors to the University of Leeds. This is a full time 6 month temporary paying £9.72 per hour

You will have demonstrable experience working in a similar role within a busy environment. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and be able to provide an excellent standard of service.

This post is required for 35 hours each week and be rota based to cover the office between the hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

As the Receptionist your main duties will include:

Being first point of contact to welcome staff, visitors and contractors into the building;
Issuance of keys, radios etc to contractors as per instructions on permits provided;
Responsibility to respond to radio check in calls from contractors;
Perform basic admin duties;
Providing a short induction to staff coming to the building for the first time to use a hot desk;
Respond to telephone queries as they arise;
Be a central point to capture queries or building issues for the building;
Accepting receipt and signing for appropriate deliveries, liaising with internal departments as necessary;

As a Receptionist you will have:

Experience of working in a customer service role and have excellent face to face and telephone communication skills;
Effective verbal and written communication skills;
Experience of using a telephone within a work environment;
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
Experience of using Microsoft Office (including Word, excel and Outlook);
An ability to work both independently on own initiative, and as part of a team
