depot/logistics manager (parcel delivery)

Depot) Logistics Manager wanted on full time permanent basis to join our rapidly expanding client based in Edinburgh.

Our client operates a sustainable and ethical delivery business focusing on green issues and the environment and are now looking to grow their existing team and branch location.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Manager to lead our hub operations team in Edinburgh. The Manager will be responsible for a vital part of our Edinburgh expansion plans, managing people, processes and systems to ensure that our sustainable last-mile deliveries are conducted to the level and standard of care we promise to our customers.

This will involve managing all aspects of end-to-end logistics from receiving, dispatching, and managing undeliverable flows while ensuring that we exceed all of our stated targets and KPIs.

What you'll do:

* Manage all aspects of local operations in Edinburgh.

* Develop the operational and maintenance processes of our multi-hub city in Edinburgh, including the planning and on-going operations of local storage, sortation, and warehouse management systems solutions

* Work closely with our central live operations team to ensure the operational KPIs are met

* Launch new operations, identify location opportunities and guide the Edinburgh expansion road-map

* Coordinate local resources, and proactively request assistance from HQ to ensure smooth flow of operations

* Manage and grow team of Edinburgh Hub Managers and Supervisors; Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are exceeded.
