Office Angels are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager, to join our client who is based in Washington, on a permanent contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful company, who are a leading provider in their field.

The company we are working with are looking for someone who has experience of working in a similar, managerial role. They are a small, friendly and close-knit team and are ideally seeking someone with an abundance of energy and personality, with the ability to set exceptional standards and ensure that the customer is central to every decision made, whilst empowering a small team.

Location: Washington
Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:30PM, willing to be flexible
Salary: £25K - £30K, depending on experience
Permanent contract to start ASAP, however a notice period can be considered
Free on-site parking The Role:

The role of Assistant Manager, reports to the Depot Manager in all aspects of this thriving business, particularly in day to day operations and running of the depot. Training will be provided for the successful applicant, however previous experience in the below key area's is highly beneficial:

Support the Depot Manager with the day to day running of the operations, including getting involved in business development
Provide clear direction and managerial support to those working within the company regarding their responsibilities and targets, managing employee KPI's
Assist management with the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
Work closely with customers and employees to ensure that that all aspects of health and safety are followed and adhered to
Motivate, support and manage directly employed staff
Provide training, coaching, and support as required to improve staff performance
Assist with staff appraisals and reviews
Support the Depot Manager in delivering all aspects of business requirements in accordance with relevant industry standards
Assist the Depot Manager with increasing productivity, sales and business development
Ensure that adequate records are maintained for internal auditing processes
Support with recruitment and growth of the office team and wider organisation Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience of working at managerial level
Experience of effectively managing teams
Effective communication and listening skills
Good administration skills
Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
