We're recruiting on behalf of one of the world's largest companies for Engine Finish and Detail Operatives to immediately join a professional, growing team at the facility in Shrewsbury, with sector leading health and safety, dedicated training and skill building opportunities.

Monday to Thursday, 07:30AM - 17:15PM
£11.11 PER HOUR
Raising to £12.29 PER HOUR after 12 weeks!
Dependant on experience and overtime where available
Overtime available for any work on Fridays where available
Sunday would be paid at premium overtime rates!As a EFD operative you will be required to:

Processing of Gear boxes, Large and Small Engines, Powerpack and Final Drives.
Rectify any defects found as per the systemised check-list on blue card
Partially strip engines after test, inspect and re-build to post test spec as per checklist guidelines
Fit ancillary parts
Conduct bore checks when required with the use of an endoscope
Mega and flash check wiring harness
Masking off of open apertures and non painted componentry
Drain oil & coolants (and top up)
Complete unit paint spray and touch up where required, with use of a paint gun and air fed mask/PPE.
Externally inhibit with grease / oil & croda fluids
Use of various hands tools, wrenches and automated equipment.
Use of overhead cranes and manual lifting equipment
Working both in a team and individually at times
Ability to read standard work ops, AD documents and systemised checklists.
Adhere to PPE & H&S requirements

Suitable applicants will have:

Manufacturing, production or Assembly experience
An understanding of working to safe practices, adhering to health and safety requirements
Good team work and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
PC / IT skills, training to be provided on in-house software

Offer will be subject to the successful completion of a Spirometer assessment due to the departmental requirement to spray engines and transmissions with the use of specific PPE.
