Position: Service Technician
Location: Reading
Salary: £12.95 per hour
Type: on going temp Monday - Friday 7.30 am to 3.30pm

Key responsibilities include:
- Working as part of a wider team and support in maintaining SLAs and ensuring team performance against KPIs
- Become proficient and competent in servicing and repair of various network provisioning equipment including general mechanical tools, common electrical equipment and fibre splicing equipment
- Work closely with suppliers and customers to identify improvements in current processes, spares holdings and customer experience
- Prioritise workload, adapting to varying demands across multiple items
- Maintain high levels of safety awareness and adopt a "challenge unsafe behaviours" attitude towards health & safety
- Accurate record keeping and organisation of all WIP and completed jobs
- Manage the stock of spares and consumables related to service and repair
- Conducting tests and failure mode analysis on service & repair jobs
- Creating basic failure mode reports to key stakeholders to manage quality and life cycle of the equipment
Essential for this role.
- A natural curiosity for "how things works"
- Good understanding of basic electrical & mechanical engineering principles
- Good attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Basic MS Office skills (Teams, Excel, Word etc)
- Self-starter able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative
- Good communicator
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety at work
