An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Field Based Surveyor to join our client, a market leader who specialise in manufacturing radiator covers for the public sector, throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth and success, our client is now looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to work as part of the surveying team to survey and manage contracts that are going through the business.
Reporting to the Management Team and the Director, they would expect you to cover (phone number removed) miles per annum as you survey potential and secured projects.
The products portfolio that you will be surveying consists of Radiator Covers, LST Radiators, pipe boxing, Anti-ligature vent covers, Anti-ligature TV cabinets as well as other anti-ligature products.
You will be responsible for producing detailed measurements maintaining a high degree of survey accuracy ensuring the covers can fit first time which will include capturing all of the cut out and fixing details for the installers to follow as well as informing the customer of additional works that may be required as a result of our works.
Planning in installation dates with the client and install teams, managing the installation projects from start to finish and dealing with any snagging issues that can arise will also be a big apart of this role.
You will need to discuss the technical elements of the products with the client and suggest the best solution to the customer’s needs.
Your people skills will be paramount as you will be the face of the company when surveying.
Completing Construction Phase Plans and RAMS and making sure they are enforced by the client and staff ensuring all H&S requirements are fulfilled as a plan to increase the H&S standards within the company.
Product development is also a part of the role you will need to be involved with to help launch new products and expand on the current product portfolio.

The Ideal Candidate :
This unique role would suit someone who has sheet metal / manufacturing / construction / engineering or technical experience and is looking for a new challenge which will give them scope to develop their career.
Previous experience as a technical surveyor is preferred, although exceptional candidates who can demonstrate a logical approach to surveying and problem solving will also be considered.
Having the ability to produce CAD drawings would be advantageous.
You will need to demonstrate that you have a positive CAN DO attitude, able to work on own initiative, a creative thinker and a team player.
Ideally you will be located within commuting distance of Shifnal, Shropshire and prepared for long distance driving within the UK.
Staying away from home will be required to maximise time spent on site which can be up to the whole week depending on locations of projects that are within the business at the time.

Staying away once or twice a week is commonplace.
Full training will be given along with a generous salary + car allowance, expenses, mileage and inclusion within a profit share scheme which is paid out on a quarterly basis after the probation period is completed.
£24,000 - £35,000 + Car Allowance + Mileage + Profit Share Scheme DOE
