Office Angels are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager, to join our client who are based in Washington, on a permanent contact basis.

We are seeking an individual who has experience of working in a similar role. We are keen to talk to you if you have an abundance of energy and personality, with the ability to set exceptional standards and ensure that the customer is central to every decision you make, whilst empowering a small team.

Location: Washington
Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:30PM, willing to be flexible in respect to hours worked.
Salary: £25K - £30K, depending on experience
Permanent contract to start ASAPThe Role

The role of Assistant Manager, reports to the Depot Manager in all aspects of this thriving small business from day to day operations.

Principal accountabilities of the role include:

Support the Depot Manager with the day to day running of the operations including business development
Provide clear direction to those working within the company regarding their responsibilities and targets
Assist management and implementation of health and safety procedures
Work closely with customer and employees to ensure that that all aspects of health and safety are followed and adhered too
Motivate, support and manage directly employed staff, providing training, coaching, and support as required to improve performance, from sales through to administration
Support the Depot Manager to deliver all aspects of business requirements in accordance with relevant industry standards
Assist the Depot Manager with increasing productivity, sales and business development
Ensure that adequate records are maintainedExperience, Qualifications and Skills

Experience of working as an Assistant Manager
Experience of effectively managing teams
Up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation
Effective communication and listening skills
Good administration skills
Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
