Job Details

Production administrator/planner.

My client are looking for an experienced Production administrator/planner to organise and oversee the assembly and manufacturing working closely with the Production manager. The Production administrator/planner will be responsible for supporting the Production manager with the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. The job involves planning, coordinating and controlling the manufacturing processes. A large part of the job involves dealing with internal staff and sub-contractor suppliers. The role will also involve purchasing of products from external suppliers. The role will on a daily basis involve decisions in planning, controlling, production and sub-contractor supervision. The end goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

Planning and organising production workflow for multiple products and product lines to meet specifications and deadlines.
Supporting the Production manager with overseeing all teams within production areas with inspiring and motivation leadership.
Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.
Following up / expediting on ordering of material used for production both from suppliers and sub-contractors.
Estimating, negotiating and set timescales with internal clients (Sales) and other Senior Managers so that orders can be fulfilled as well as stock levels kept at right level.
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
Upholding Harvest high quality standards and in line with ISO credited standards.
Uphold good standards for equipment and tools used in production areas as well as organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment and tools.
Report weekly on KPI metrics which will include Efficiency / Productivity / Cost of Labour / Cost of Production / Lead time (internal and external) as well as more.Key skills and requirements:

knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
Experience in resource planning
Working knowledge of MS Office
Good at maths and statistics
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities
