We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Administrator, working 37.5 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, to support our successful team.

At Future Health Biobank we are passionate about protecting the future health of children, which is why we concentrate our company in two main areas; stem cell banking and diagnostics.  

We are the largest stem cell bank in the UK, having stored more samples than all other UK banks combined and have been established for over 17 years. We fully believe in the value of these services, as well as their present and future possibilities. We offer three core services for stem cell banking; Umbilical cord blood, umbilical cord tissue and Dental pulp, as well as various Diagnostic services.

We currently have a vacancy for a Junior Administrator to join our team based on the Nottingham Science & Technology Park. 

This role will also involve supporting members of our Laboratory team, working closely with blood products on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • All areas of filing including database, filing cabinets and preparing files to go off site for storage
  • Scanning, printing and shredding
  • Assisting with day to day post in and out including franking
  • Answering the phones and doors
  • Data Entry
  • Booking in paperwork after samples arrive
  • Processing daily paperwork – Sorting, Numbering, scanning and renaming
  • Downloading new clients and client change requests
  • Sending post via DHL
  • Ordering stationary and sorting orders on arrival and assist in distribution
  • Updating the database for Maternal Bloods that have not arrived
  • Dealing with basic emails and saving them where necessary
  • Generating the report and sending correspondence notification emails
  • Checking and approving CT’s
  • File preparation
  • General updates to Data base

Must be willing to train in new areas and potentially grow with the company

Key Skills:

  • A genuine interest in working in a busy admin function, supporting a team of individuals;
  • Experience of all Microsoft Office Packages;
  • High attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to adapt in a fast paced environment;
  • Being able to work as part of an extremely busy team, as well as using own initiative with regards to problem solving;
  • Willingness to learn;

Terms & Benefits:

  • 37.5 hours per week - Tuesday to Saturday 8.00am - 4.00pm
  • Salary based on age and experience level;
  • 23 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), rising to 25;
  • Contributory Company Pension Scheme;
