Job Details
I am currently working with a Furniture distribution company who are looking for a Transport Manager/Planner to join their ever growing business. The ideal candidate will be a driven Transport professional with experience of handling driver compliance and adhering to regulations.
Salary: up-to £30,000
Hours of work: Days/ Mon-Fri
Key responsibilities:
Managing 8 drivers of Luton vans
Overseeing compliance of the vans check lists, servicing, MOT etc
Planning routes for the drivers
Assist drivers with any on road delivery issues and resolve in a timely manner
Ensure driver brief and debriefs are completed
Achieving key performance targets, identifying trends with a view to improving efficiency's.
Brief drivers to ensure that all instructions for their allocated runs are communicated
Responsible for Health and Safety of the team, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to at all times
To ensure the daily plan is delivered on time managing resources effectively, maximising utilisation whilst minimising costExperience Required:
Planning routes
Good geographical knowledge
Knowledge of Driver compliance and regulations
CPC is not required
