Cloud & Infrastructure Manager
Leeds / Bradford
£60,000 - £65,000 + on-call rota
Interaction IT have partnered with a leading Business to Business service in West Yorkshire. Due to business expansion my client requires an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Manager to manage their internal systems.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will be providing a hands on technical and management focus for my clients internal team covering a Windows based environment and to oversee both the infrastructure and Service Desk Teams.
You will also be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of all internal technology products within the business. This includes both virtual and physical servers and networking hardware; firewalls, switches wireless infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
· Ability to demonstrate end to end management of infrastructure services and experience of building and managing AWS environments
· At least 3 years commercial experience managing an internal infrastructure, networking (TCP/IP & VoIP) and back-office software products
· Proven experience creating cloud platforms based around a cloud-native modern tech-stack
· Strong understanding of cloud networking architecture, including shared context firewalls and load balancers
· Demonstratable experience troubleshooting and diagnosing Windows and VMware based virtualisation environments
· Able to demonstrate knowledge of Compute, Storage, Network, Security, Telephony and Database
· Able to act as the top level of escalation, working in conjunction with the Head of Technology to resolve any and all issues necessary
· Ongoing analysis of internal infrastructure, managing the implementation of recommendations to improve system performance
· Responsible for ensuring that standards are in place, including writing governance documentation
· Work as part of a senior technical on-call rota, providing an escalation point for the infrastructure team
· Experience working with development teams writing in PHP, JavaScript and MySQL including GIT version control (desirable not essential)
