Yard Operative

We wish to recruit a driven and charismatic individual to join our team in Birmingham. This is for someone looking to learn and develop new skills that will equip them for a career within one of the UK and Ireland's leading Independent merchants.

The Role

Creating a friendly and welcoming environment by direct approach that encourages return custom to enable branch satisfaction and margin growth.

Key Accountability's

Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensure best practice, standards and company policies are met
Assist in the company stock
Ensure that all environmental tasks on site are met professionally
Maintain the yard to a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness
Build rapport, be polite and courteous to colleagues
Be vigilant to prevent loss of product by theft etc
Be vigilant and report any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately

A positive & approachable attitude
Good product knowledge within the Industry (this can be trained)
Professionalism and who will promote and adhere to the company's value's
Good interpersonal skills, confidence and drive
Basic literacy & numeracy skills
Fluent in English (Verbal & Written)
