Interaction Recruitment Northampton are excited to be recruiting 8 Mini Bus /Coach Drivers on behalf of our clients in Northampton and Rushden within their Passenger Transport Unit department. You will be working with children so a Full DBS is required you will be transporting up to 16 passengers* at any one given time. You will need a D1 category on your driving licence. To be successful in this role you will need to have worked in a similar role previously.
4 X Minibus drivers
4 X Coach drivers
They will do a split shift normally 06:00-10:00 and then back in 14:00-18:00
You will be ferrying children with special needs back and forth to school and sometimes during the holidays too.
About the Driver:
Safely transport passengers to various locations across Northamptonshire
Create a safe, supportive atmosphere for passenger in line with safety guidelines
Ensure all safety checks are carried out in line with standard procedures
Check vehicles to ensure they are clean and fuelled appropriately
Report any incidents within the safety guidelines
About you
Proficient communicator in English
It is essential you hold a clean driving licence with category D1.
Experience of driving larger vehicles and understand basic maintenance - basic training will be provided
Confident with members of the general public.
Be able to lift items such as wheelchairs and buggy equipment.
For insurance purposes drivers must be over the age of 23.
