Commercial Officer/Scheme Manager within affordable and sustainable energy sector at the heart of the delivery of the UK’s goals for secure, affordable and sustainable electricity.

Scheme Management’s role is to provide commercial expertise to help guide the delivery and development of energy schemes and contracts. We ensure that energy consumers get a good deal, and that investor confidence in the schemes is maintained. We are looking for people with a general commercial skillset, as the role interacts with colleagues across our operations, contract management, strategy and policy teams. You don’t need to be an expert in all these areas, just an enthusiasm to learn and to be happy working on several workstreams at once. Stakeholder management skills play a great part, as alongside working closely with wider internal departments, you will be frequently engaging with BEIS, OFGEM, National Grid ESO Delivery Body, our contract holders and industry bodies. We want to grow together and push each other to succeed, so you need to enjoy working collaboratively and being comfortable asking challenging questions. If you have some interesting commercial experience and share our passion for renewable energy please apply today.

About you:

Excellent stakeholder management skills
Experience of managing contractual issues
Commercial acumen; able to break down and explain commercial issues
Great written and verbal communication skills
Experience of working in a regulatory environment, not necessarily within energy
Ability to influence internally and externally
The package is circa £40k-£55k per annum, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance and PHI.
