Senior Payroll Technicizn - Permanent (Slough)
Our client are a leading Care Services Provider, with a highly successful and long standing history within the industry. They are searching for an experienced, Senior Payroll Technician to join their small Finance team, working alognside a team of Payroll Administrators. The purpose of the role is to support with high volume payroll responsibilities for the business. This role offers scope for progression into a Payroll Manager
Key Features of role:
* Processing weekly and monthly payroll for a range of employees (1000+ Employees operating within the group of companies;
* High volume processing of payroll;
* Calculating Payroll entitlements such as Holiday Pay and tax contributions;
* Issuing P45's and allocating annual leave to employees;
* Supporting with Payroll ananlysis responsibilities and providing reporting;
* Processing new starters/leavers
* Calculating SPP & CSP
* Manual holiday pay calculations
* Pension uploads
* Reconciling payroll reports
* Sending payslips
* Preparing Statutory paymentsDealing with payroll queries
What you'll need to succeed:
You will have previous experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Intermediate Excel. Additionally, they are looking for:
- Working knowledge of payroll legislation and best practice;
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in payroll;
- Strong communication and organisation skills.
Skills required:
* Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with an emphasis on the ability to prepare and analyse data using Excel spreadsheets.
* Must be detail-oriented and possess strong time management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and with a small finance team
* Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work on their own initiative.
This role offers core working hours of Monday - Friday (9.00am-5.00pm) and is based in Burnham (Slough). We are able to offer an immediate job start with this position
