Programme Manager

Location: Leighton Buzzard / Hybrid WFH

Duration: 6 months with scope to go permanent.

Hours of Work - Standard Hours - 39 hours per week. Breakdown of working hours below;

31.5 core hours: Monday to Thursday, 09.00 to 16.30. Fridays, 09.00 to 12.30.

The additional 7.5 hours can be worked on a flexible time agreement during the below times:

Monday to Wednesday between:

07.30 to 09.00
16.30 to 18.00Thursday between:

07.30 to 09.00
16.30 to 19.00Friday between:

07.30 and 09.00
12.30 and 14.00Purpose

Responsible for program managing all aspects of the A350 Galley Product lifecyclePrimary Responsibilities

Program manage a new product introduction (NPI) with multiple projects running concurrently and within a matrix organization in conjunction with other project and program managers
Execution of the Collins Management System (CMS) procedure (COL-CMS-POL-0001) to deliver programs to time, cost and quality metrics defined by program charter.
Creation and update of Program Charter for all aftermarket and legacy programs, as set out in the Departmental Handbook (COL-CMS-PRO-0001)
Ownership of all galley programs at phase gate six as per CMS Gated Approval Process (COL-CMS-PRO-0002).
Plan programs and lead team in line with CMS Value Stream Planning & Cadence Reviews (COL-CMS-PRO-0003).
Liaise with internal departments to ensure that customer requests / deadlines are achieved under budget and manage risks and opportunities as per CMS process (COL-CMS-WK-0001).
Track the financial performance of the products and be a part of the team to improve its financial contribution to the business using Program Charter.
Leadership of IPT as per RASCI described in Departmental Handbook (BMS-17-00).
Ownership of quotations for work, inline with charter & IPT RASCI.
Set goals and objectives of subordinates inline the Collins Aerospace values and CMS framework respectively, including performance connect reviews.
Act as a customer focal and brand ambassador in keeping with Collins Aerospace hospitality and conduct policies.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure that customer requests / deadlines are achieved under budget
Generate a strong focus within the team on customer relationships and delivery of the internal objectives
Track the financial performance of the products and be a part of the team to improve its financial contribution to the business
Contribute to the implementation of robust project management processes
Communication and focal with customer on both technical and commercial issues
Generate a strong focus on customer relationships and development
Lead Continuous Improvement ActivitiesRelated Experience

Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite, Project and JDE)
Knowledge of NPI product lifecycle - JDP, PDR, CDR, FAI
Commercial knowledge / awareness and a strong focus on the delivery of internal objectives
Good planning skills (Microsoft Project or Primavera)
Knowledge of Earned Value Management
Proven strong programme management skills in a matrix environment
Focus on customer satisfaction
Experience of Airbus procedures and ways of working (desirable)
Able to think 'outside the box'Education

Educated to HND/Degree level in a technical disciplineCertifications/Licences

Formal PM training / accreditation such as PMP or APM
