Machine Operative

Pay Rate: £8.91p/hour for the 1st 12 weeks, rising to a minimum of £12.23 p/hour after.

Start Date: ASAP

Randstad Engineering are excited to be recruiting for experienced machine operatives to join an industry leading business based in Launceston on a temporary, long-term, contract. As a member of the Manufacturing Team, the main responsibilities are:

Operate processing machinery and material handling equipment in a safe and productive manner and to good standards of workmanship in order to deliver the required levels of customer service.
Handle all material including checking stock records, labelling and storing according to commercial requirements.
Understand and implement maintenance activities to facilitate optimum productivity.

The Shifts:

This role is based on the following 2 shift pattern:

1st Week: 06:00 - 14:00 (early finish at 11 on Fridays!)
2nd Week: 14:00 - 22:00 (only 11:00 till 16:00 on Fridays!)

What we are looking for:

Fully trained as an operator and experience of leading a multi-staged production process.
Experience of the operation of heavy mobile plant within an industrial environment.
Able to work the shifts mentioned above
FLT License is desirable
