They have a rare opportunity to join their team as the Health and Safety Manager at the Bagillt site, on a temporary ongoing basis, with potential for the position to be made permanent.

What will you be responsible for:

Ensure our people have a safe, clean and healthy work environment
Provide the knowledge, skills and tools to work safely
Create safe habits that our people can apply at work, at home and at play.
To protect the environment and our planet - limit impact on climate
To ensure the effective use of our Real Estate - have a global view of our assets and leases, and ensure simplification and support consolidation
Promote Continuous improvement - in all things Safety, Environment and Facility Management
Conducting all risk assessments as required, ensuring regular review and the maintenance of records
Carrying out and reporting on investigations into all accidents and near-misses and implementing improvements/amendments identified as a result
Managing accident and incident reports and assisting with the monthly trend reports
Ensuring maintenance of equipment, machinery and buildings Ensuring compliance with regulatory inspections and certification of plant and equipment, including fire prevention equipment and LEV
Managing and facilitating 3rd party suppliers in the provision of facilities services and any upgrades
Responding to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise Raising orders to cover facilities related spend and adherence to site budget What do you need:

Previous experience of working with health and safety processes and procedures in a manufacturing

environment is essential
You must have up to date knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practice.

Previous experience of line management is not essential; however, experience of operating at management level or as part of a management/leadership team is highly beneficial.
Relevant NEBOSH/IOSH/Health and Safety qualification is essential.
You will have a pragmatic and engaging approach to health and safety and has the skills to inspire and influence others at all levels.
