Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Warrington (WA4 6PS)
Salary: £11.00 p/h
Shifts : Mon- Fri 09:00- 17:00
Contract Type: Temp- Perm
The Company
Our client are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their central finance team based in Warrington.
As the Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be responsible for your own group of hotels ensuring the efficient management of the purchase ledger function and the payment of supplier invoices in a timely fashion, along with general queries and administration duties.
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk your duties will be:
" Receive and post invoices to the relevant hotel purchase ledger ensuring that all the appropriate authority levels have been met.
" Match invoices to purchase orders.
" Code invoices in accordance with code lists.
" Prepare invoice accrual listings as part of the month-end P&L reporting cycle.
" Generate, review and prepare weekly and monthly supplier BACS payment runs.
" Allocate supplier direct debit payments to the correct outstanding invoices.
" Complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations resolving and differences with suppliers as appropriate.
" Monthly review of Aged Creditors.
" Resolve all invoice and payment queries from suppliers in a timely manner and follow up with hotel management team where necessary.
" Support the Finance Office team by undertaking ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
An ideal Purchase Ledger Clerk will hold the following skills and experiences:
" Must have a minimum 2 years purchase ledger experience.
" Experience of Sage 200 would be beneficial, however not essential.
" Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
" Good communication skills both written and verbal.
" Ability to use own initiative and work well within a team environment.
