Job Details

Depot) Logistics Manager wanted on full time permanent basis to join our rapidly expanding client based in Glasgow.

Our client operates a sustainable and ethical delivery business focusing on green issues and the environment and are now looking to grow their existing team and branch location.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Manager to lead our hub operations team in Glasgow. The Manager will be responsible for a vital part of our Glasgow expansion plans, managing people, processes and systems to ensure that our sustainable last-mile deliveries are conducted to the level and standard of care we promise to our customers.

This will involve managing all aspects of end-to-end logistics from receiving, dispatching, and managing undeliverable flows while ensuring that we exceed all of our stated targets and KPIs.

The manager will also be responsible for workplace health and safety standards and the security of the building and inventory.

What you'll do:

* Manage all aspects of local operations in Glasgow

* Develop the operational and maintenance processes of our multi-hub city in Glasgow, including the planning and on-going operations of local storage, sortation, and warehouse management systems solutions

* Work closely with our central live operations team to ensure the operational KPIs are met

* Launch new operations, identify location opportunities and guide the Glasgow expansion road-map

* Monitor local and hub P&Ls and work closely with HQ to develop local city budget

* Coordinate local resources, and proactively request assistance from HQ to ensure smooth flow of operations

* Manage and grow team of Glasgow Hub Managers and Supervisors; Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are exceeded

* Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment

* Commitment towards your work, team and partners

* Experience in delivery logistics, rapid scaling, multi-hub management and experience is highly preferred within a fast-paced logistics operator.
