Manpower are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Northampton (East Corby) for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their team on a permanent basis with an immediate start!
Start Date: ASAP
Hourly Pay: £10.90 with overtime available at an uplifted rate.
Working hours:
Hours: 39 hours per week
Rotating Shifts:
Week 1 - Late Shift: Monday to Thursday 14:00-22:30, Friday 13:00-18:00
Week 2 - Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 09:00-17:00, Friday 09:00-16:00
Pay: £10.90p/h with an opportunity to increase rate following further training
About the Job:
The role is an active hands on Forklift Driver, picking and loading stocks in line with customer and logistical requirements supporting the Warehouse and Logistics functions and providing full absence cover for other Forklift Drivers.
Duties will include:
Unloading and loading vehicles both inside and outside
Exercise extreme caution at all times, especially when operating an FLT or refuelling
Reporting any discrepancies immediately to the appropriate personnel
Ensuring all materials are stored in the correct location and walkways are kept clear
Using RF barcode scanners to register all movements within the Warehouse Management System
Issuing/ scanning raw materials to the appropriate machine as per the provision
Preparation and loading of correct materials onto machine conveyors in line with business procedures/ timings
Understanding and identifying board specifications (liners, GSM and sizes)
Emptying of waste skips to outside waste bins
Assisting with stock takes
Our Requirements:
Experience working within a busy warehouse/production area
Forklift Counterbalance licence
Excellent attention to detail
Good clear communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team whilst also using own initiative
Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and RF scanners
Flexibility to swap shift
Rate increase following further training
