Corporate Finance Analyst Role
The objective of this role is to deliver, to investors, stable income distributions combined with high potential for capital appreciation.
The fund seeks to institutionalise the HMO sector by acquiring existing stock, typically held by local landlords, and turning them into desirable properties, located within some of the highest-ranked UK university cities in the country.
YOU
The Corporate Finance Analyst will support the CFO in regard to its duties as Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Controller and Cash Management, including the following:
Prepare forward-looking financials based on historical performance and key assumptions impacting future performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Conduct variance analysis to compare forecast against actual performance
Prepare standalone and consolidated management accounts on a quarterly and annual basis
Support our external accountants and ensure that management accounts are in line with audited accounts and accounting standards
Monitor cash positions across the Group to ensure an optimal liquidity
Record and control day-to-day financial operations such as income and expenditures
Assist with implementing financial controls and process improvements
Collaborate to ensure efficiency in all work streams and to help the team drive continual innovation and improvement in all current and future processesDESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work experience with similar responsibilities would be considered an asset
Understanding of accounting, budgeting, and financial modelling
Good Excel knowledge and, ideally, experience working with large spreadsheets
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to rapidly comprehend complex issues
Ability to work well and independently in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment
