This role is an integral part of the Finance team that supports the Financial Services, Identity Services and Insurance business areas. The purpose of the role is to produce management reporting and provide analysis to support finance and product team colleagues in managing business performance.

Description

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Develop, implement and maintain monthly reporting pack which includes product P&Ls and reporting. ·
Early insight into any unusual variances and anomalies, working with the Finance Manager and FSC Accounting Manager to understand and resolve.
Own income accrual process for FS and Insurance products.
Construct appropriate journals at each period end.
Liaise with FSC Accounting Manager to ensure all income receipts are correctly posted in the system.
Finance Support for all projects through analysis, accounting and reporting.
Provide financial analysis and insights on performance of project costs/benefits against plan/forecast ·
Finance Support for the forecasting/budgeting process and uploading the forecast and budgets into Anaplan ·
Take the Finance lead on all Travel Insurance operational reporting for Insurers and aggregators.
Analyse and review supplier financial information to ensure reports are produced accurately and that commission/payments are being calculated correctly.
Identify and resolve any anomalies being reported on specific policies. ·
Coordinate and Manage sign-off process from product team, CFO and CEO to ensure payment is made to underwriters and aggregators as per contracts. ·
Perform detailed financial reconciliations for Insurance products between Insurance platform and cash.
Review policy information to ensure reports are produced accurately and that financial information is being calculated correctly.
Identify and resolve any anomalies being reported on specific policies. ·
Drive improvements across all FinOps reports by working with Product and Operations teams ·
Streamline month end reporting processes with the aim of automating them by way of programming macros using Visual Basics for applications (VBA) in Excel. ·
Provide training and ongoing assistance to PO requistioners to ensure all spend is raised correctly in the Finance system. ·
Assist with half-year and year-end financial audit processes performed by external auditor and provide support to the FCA regulatory reporting. ·
Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and CFO and the wider product teams. · Responsible for ensuring compliance with any specific legislative, regulatory, or contractual requirements.Profile

The successful candidate must have the following experience:

Understanding of insurance business, and in particular of where POI fits into the insurance value/activity chain.
Working knowledge of Insurance platforms (preferable not essential)
Experience in a commercial or operational finance environment. ·
Experience in providing finance analysis and management reporting to a financial services organisation
Qualifications required Part Qualified management accountant.
Skills required · Strong excel data manipulation and modelling skills. Proficiency in VBA is preferred. ·
Good working knowledge of finance systems, ideally CFS (SAP) and BI.
Good attention to detail
Ability to take action, analyse information and produce insights.Job Offer
