Adecco are currently recruiting for a Community Engagement Housing Officer for a West-London local authority.
Community Engagement Housing Officer
Requirement to travel around Hounslow
Full time - 36 hours per week
Temp role - 3 months (possible extension)
£17.75 per hour PAYE / £22.98 per hour Umbrella
Interviews to take place Friday 17th September 2021
Our client is seeking an individual:
* Who is confident, self-motivated person, very organised with a "can do" attitude to work
* Has a good knowledge of the Hounslow borough and the diversity of its local communities: Living in the borough would be an advantage!
* Is familiar with Housing issues either as a resident with lived experience of social housing or through work (voluntary or paid)
* Ability to engage with people from all backgrounds and at all levels
* Can organise and service the needs of meetings (including taking minutes, sharing presentations and producing summary reports): Someone willing to learn the various techniques of delivering a virtual meeting (e.g. organising virtual breakout rooms, participant polls and similar)
* Passion for community engagement and willing to think creatively to support other teams within the Council undertake Community Engagement
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support with the delivery of the Hounslow Housing's approach to community engagement and resident engagement, promoting good practice across the Council to give residents a greater say in the improvement of Council services and its' decision making.
To work in the Community Engagement team and lead on supporting various initiatives aligned to the Council's role ambition to be an outstanding social landlord (including servicing the needs of independent housing forums and tenant/leaseholder groups).
Support the Community Engagement team with events, projects and activities for the benefit of Hounslow Housing tenants.
