Data Analyst - Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Salary: £29,000 per annum

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am till 5:00pm

Fresh Start have partnered with a world class company who are looking to appoint a Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. This position is a key role within the business and is pivotal to all departments.

The duties include:

* Manage the periodical reviews of buy reviews based on sales forecasts, pricing report, costing sheets and demand vs stock position to ultimate signoff by the Managing Director

* Support existing business analysis ‘dashboards’ (Access and Excel) and modify or create new dashboards for identified business needs.

* Develop reports and/or dashboards to analyse sales, prices, margins and volumes so as to identify and track customer and product trends and stock levels

* Prepare reports and undertake ad-hoc analysis as required.

* Control the data flow between applications and the webstores

* Identify and act on discrepancies in data transfers between stock and accounting applications

Skills, Experience and Knowledge required:

* Experience of creating and simplifying reports and also forecasting

* Logical thinker with the self-motivation to acquire information.

* Highly numerate and literate with the ability to collate and analyse large volumes of data.

* Ability to organise and to prioritise tasks

* Excellent communication skills are essential with proven people skills and the ability to work at all levels within the business.

* Attention to detail and ability to apply critique over their own outputs

* Expert user of MS Excel, particularly data models and pivot tables, with excellent knowledge of MS Access or MS Power Query

* Database proficiency with the ability to write views/queries to extract and consolidate data from multiple sources and transform into required format (SQL and Visual FoxPro)

* Experience of identifying the needs for meaningful tools
