JOB TITLE: Management Accountant (Fixed Term Contract)

LOCATION: Exeter with the Opportunity for working from home for up to 3 days per week

SALARY: Up to £40,000 PA DOE

HOURS: Full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm

THE ROLE: The Interim Management Accountant will support the Financial Controller with a key focus on the production of the monthly management accounting pack, ensuring financial records are kept up to date and accurate, and the preparation of other financial reports as required.

KEY DUTIES:

Preparation of monthly management accounts to a strict deadline
Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of KPIs reporting
Analysis of results, trends and margins
Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of month-end closing activities such as account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments
Collaborate with team members to monitor asset disposals and movements
Monitor and process transactions on a daily basis
Assist in budget preparation including liaising and aligning input across departments
Assist in preparation of audit information
Streamlining and improving various processes and reports
Supporting and mentoring the Assistant Management Accountant
Supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects
Any other duties that might reasonably be required of you

THE CANDIDATE:

Qualified , ideally CIMA, ACCA or ACA
Experience in a similar role dealing with a wide and varied range of duties
Experience with an ERP system is favourable. Microsoft Dynamics experience would be an asset
Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing and building spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
Ability to multitask and effectively manage workload
Experience of supporting and mentoring staff
Good attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
