Supply Chain Analyst / Procurement Analyst

£22,000 - £25,000
Office based initially then you may have an option to work from home 1-2 days a week once fully trained.
We are looking for someone ideally at the start of their Supply Chain career looking to go into a growing firm who provides exceptional training. A successful person will be IT literate in order to use the systems provided. We have plenty of routes to progress in this firm and encourage anyone who is looking to move up the ranks & grow with us! We are a very friendly but outgoing team so someone with this personality would gel really well with our environment.
Job Role
The Supply Chain / Procurement Analyst will be responsible for the purchasing and subsequent expediting of goods and services in line with MRP demands and customer projects
Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
Ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
To meet expectations in this role it is important that you maintain strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, production and sales; delivering improved business performance, and above all, customer satisfaction.
Manage suppliers and partners to meet our business objectives / requirements
Expedite purchases where required and communicate risk succinctly.
Assist the SCM in calculating strategic inventory and remove stock out risks.
Reduce excess stocks in a timely manner, either through resale or supplier returns.
Support the SCM in formalising supplier terms.
Report and issue supplier metrics on spend, delivery performance and quality performance, ensuring these are used to drive improved performance
Where required lead specific projects in sourcing and commercial negotiation to ensure that the company gets the best value for money
Assist in the sourcing of bespoke products and services to meet customer demand
Ensure all purchase orders are placed promptly with the most cost-effective supplier / service provider
Identify and capitalise on opportunities to increase company profits through more efficient buying
Monitor infeed of work and ensure all tasks are completed within the day
Develop processes that improve the customer journey
Deal with all customer escalations / complaints and ensure resolved in a timely manner.
Role Requirements
To have a wide range of knowledge in Supply Chain and to have some experience in this field
Any experience with Epicor ERP or NetSuite ERP would be great
