Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a Facilities Assistant to support the Executive Assistant of a very prestigious, successful and growing business at their UK Headquarters based in Carnforth.

This is an initial 6 month fixed term contract covering sickness, with a view to permanent contract.

Salary: £19-25K per annum, dependent on experience.

Working hours: 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.

We are seeking candidates with experience in facilities management and health & safety compliance. The role is sat at reception, but only doing reception duties as a back up. (This is mainly due to desk space currently available).

Primary Purpose of Role

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all clients, contacts, customers and the onsite team, in line with the Company's vision and values on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

Meeting and greeting clients and customers in a helpful and positive manner
Maintaining visitor security procedures (guest logs, etc)
Organising sending and receiving post in a timely manner
Liaising with couriers as and when required
Providing support to receptionist when required / answering phone in a professional manner and directing calls in to relevant department/sales sectors
Taking accurate messages and promptly relaying them onto relevant department/sales sectors
Ordering of consumables for offices
Ordering of branded stationery and products for Carnforth
Maintaining and keeping up to date Health & Safety Portal
Chasing outstanding items on the Health & Safety Portalo Ensuring all action points are managed and completed

o Ensure all Work Equipment Tasks are managed/maintained

o Ensure all Risk Assessments are understood and managed

o Ensure all e-learning is rolled out and manage outstanding training

o Staff Management kept up to date with starters/leavers

o Organise and keep up to date external training including:

§ Forklift Training

§ Saw Training

§ First Aid

§ Eye Tests

Key Performance Measures

· Good time management skills

· Self motivated and self starter

· Reception, meeting rooms and showroom are kept tidy and ready for use

· Phones are answered within 3 rings

· Reliability

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

· Previous experience of receptionist/facilities assistant/health & safety compliance

· Professional dress and manner

· Excellent written and verbal communication

· Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

· Good time management skills

· Experience with housekeeping

· Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.
