I am delighted to be working with a fantastic client who has a dynamic HR team and would like to find the next hidden gem to compliment the team – a Learning and Development Manager!

This role will be the face of learning & development across the business and will ensure that my client has the best talent and pipeline in the sector. This is a strategic role, creating and looking after the end to end training and development journeys, inspiring everyone to enter into new ways of developing people for the future.

What’s even more exciting is that this role is a brand new position so it gives someone an incredible chance to be creative and innovative develop our people.

The duties of the Learning & Development Manager include:

  • Responsibility for the creation of the learning and development offering and driving a learning culture
  • Carrying out thorough training needs analysis ensuring materials created are strategic, not just intervention
  • Creating a programme for developing, managing and retaining high performing team members and managers to create a strong pipeline of talent to fill key role
  • Writing and delivering a development programme to inspire & grow our senior managers
  • Managing and reviewing the delivery of induction programmes across all departments
  • Creating & delivering the training annual training & event  planner
  • Managing the Apprenticeship Programme to ensure we maximise the levy tax including the management of the apprenticeship levy account
  • Managing the internal communication programme, companywide team events and incentives
  • Hands on training design, delivery and facilitation
  • Managing the annual training budget ensuring that all costs come in line with forecasted spend

To be considered for the role of Learning & Development Manager you will:

  • Have experience of learning & development within the hospitality industry
  • Thrive under pressure in a fast paced workplace.
  • Will be an inspiring communicator who can convey information and ideas to others in an engaging manner
  • Will actively participate as a member of a team toward the completion of goals.
  • Have a drive for results whilst setting high standards of performance for themselves and others.
  • Can set a clear plan of action for self and prioritises work to accomplish goals
  • Builds relationships based on openness, trust, confidence & unity.
