Adecco are recruiting for a HR Business Consultant to work remotely for a West London local authority.
HR Business Consultant
Remote Working
Public Sector - Local Authority
Full Time - 35 hours per week
Temp role - 3 months (possible extension)
£24.03 per hour PAYE
Key points
Ideal candidate:
Someone who is a do-er.
Someone who can work with the team day to day, embedded with us, attending all meetings who can then understand the context of situations and can write up whatever is necessary.
Someone who will attend HR meetings but always works day to day with ICT and Property services staff.
Someone who is focussed.
Someone who can own any departmental re-organisation.Key tasks:
All matters relating to recruitment.
Writing JDs
Getting them evaluated by an independent person
Getting vacancies advertised
"blind" long listing candidates
"blind" Shortlisting candidates
Establishing a four person "mixed" interview panel
Chairing interview panels
All matters relating to Discipline
Managing mediation
Informal interviews to establish fact
Establishing independent hearings
Keeping minutes
All matters relating to training
Maintaining a training needs analysis
Ensuring records are up to date
Ensuring staff have necessary qualifications and that essential training is delivered
Monitoring effectiveness of the training
Succession planning
All matters relating to BAU data
Monitoring RTW
Ensuring Absence monitoring is effective
Ensuring Appraisals are completed
Ensuring Timesheets are completed
Checking authorised overtime
Checking Authorised expenses
Being so embedded in the management teams that they manage all communications
Writing and publishing all comms
Maintaining wall boards
Maintaining Onespace - the Ealing Council internet
Keeping other staff in the department updated
