Description

The payroll Analyst position is a key role within the UK Payroll structure.

Your focus will be to enhance payroll efficiency within systems and data management processes across the UK, and act as the central point of contact with our third party providers for the UK.

The Payroll Analyst position will lead and coordinates the end to end payroll operations for the UK in accordance with local practices, statutory regulations & laws.

Key Activities:

Supporting the payroll team and wider payroll stakeholder group with payroll data reporting.
Impart knowledge and understanding of payroll data reporting to the payroll team.
Analyse and reconcile payroll data and fulfil the payroll teams reporting requirements.
Identify omissions and errors in data and escalate to the payroll team for corrective action.
Develop a detailed understanding of the businesses payroll data requirements and become a subject matter expert for the reporting tools used.
Document and maintain a data dictionary for all payroll data fields. Identifying data dependencies and where non-standard configuration exists.
Work alongside Payroll, HR, Pensions, and Finance colleagues to translate reporting requirements into technical solutions that meets the business needs.
Work with cross functional teams to ensure business readiness for data and configurational changes
Participate in our Change Approval Board and contribute to a solution design and recommendation
Perform initial validation, support unit testing, and facilitate UAT as neededProfile

The successful candidate for the Payroll Analyst role will possess the following skill sets and personality:

Previous experience of working in an analytical role (ideally in Finance or Payroll) supporting multiple internal and external stakeholders
Previous experience of working in a Shared Service environment or customer orientated role in Payroll or Finance
Strong analytical and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems with either minimal supervision or in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present clean, organised and thorough information
Experience of creating complex reports and exposure to a Payroll/HR shared service environment (desirable)
Solid computer skills with a proficiency in Excel a must - experience with V-lookup and pivot tables a plus.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and technical skills
Ability to quickly learn and utilise all necessary software programs
Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines with flexibilityJob Offer
