MET Technician

Are you an experienced MET Technician looking for the next great opportunity?
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a hugely successful company who are looking to add an enthusiastic, motivated MET Technician to their team. This business is brilliant at retaining and developing staff and offers fantastic progression opportunities within the Automotive Industry.
This role would be suitable for an MET Technician who has a minimum of three years experience in a similar role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working on a wide variety of modern vehicles the successful MET Technician will be required to undertake all of the below duties; -
* Vehicle Inspections/Inspect components for wear and tear
* Diagnosing of vehicle faults/Competent use of diagnostic equipment
* Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim work for a range of makes/models
* Undertake the dismantling and reassembly of damaged vehicles (Strip and Fit), to an extremely high standard
* Carry out technical maintenance, repair or replace parts within the estimated time
* Report any additional parts damaged when stripping down and return all unused parts
DESIRED SKILLS
* Experience in working as an MET Technician within a Bodyshop/Accident Repair environment
* Full UK Driving Licence
* The ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build a strong relationship with both customers and other members of staff.
* Handle all vehicles with due care and attention ensuring that customer care/satisfaction is maintained at all times.
* Systematic, highly organised with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work within given timescales.
* Awareness of, and adhere to, all the Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations
* The right person will be a team player who works well under pressure and has a passion for both customer service and keeping up to date with the latest automotive technologies.
* NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent)
* ATA certification or be a time served technician preferable
