Assistant Accountant

My client are looking to hire a strong Assistant Accountant for a permanent role as they increase the team for their offices based in Runcorn. As part of a medium sized finance team it reports into the Accounting Manager.

I am assisting a logistics firm based in Runcorn, Warrington recruit a new Assistant Accountant. Due to organic growth within the business they are adding to their existing Finance team, making it an exciting time to join the business.

Description

Maintenance of General Ledger, including but not limited to inputting of invoices & cash sheets, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to Profit & Loss level
Compiling Daily/Weekly/Monthly management reports, and Variance reports with analysis
Preparation of bi-monthly VAT Returns
Other various duties such as preparation of budgets, audit reconciliations, cash flow analysis etc.
Assisting Financial Controller with individual adhoc tasks as they ariseProfile

Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
Highly motivated, self starter who has ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
Excellent numerical skills, accuracy and strong attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment but must be able to use own initiative and take ownership of role
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
