Page Personnel are excited to be partnered with our client in recruiting an exceptional opportunity for an Accounts Assistant. This position will offer a fantastic range of responsibilities across management accounting whilst working as part of a successful team.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established Global Manufacturing Business that have a head office in Glasgow.

Description

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on the following responsibilities if successful:

Assisting with elements of the monthly Management Accounts for the company, reconciling various accounts, compiling and posting journals as required. This may involve following up queries with other departments to ensure the ledgers are accurate and up to date for month end.
Assisting with banking processes for worldpay, streamline, AMEX and paypal accounts across a multi-currency platform.
Responsibility for the full monthly Payroll Process for the company for approximately 220 employees from validating monthly time and attendance reports, processing payroll and pensions on SAGE 50, producing relevant reports and submitting necessary returns to HMRC.
Maintaining our Crown Management Time and Attendance System, including clearing exceptions, processing new starts and leavers and working with department heads to review attendance data and ensure accuracy of reporting.
Provide holiday cover to other areas within the department and as and when required for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations and VAT.Profile

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:

Familiar with accounting packages preferably Microsoft Navision and Sage Payroll.
Solid knowledge of using complex Microsoft Excel including pivots and lookups.
Comfortable working to strict timescales.
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of the team.
Excellent organisational skills with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, question processes and offer new ideas.
Confidence in dealing with senior managers within the business on a one to one basis.
Confidentiality and awareness of Data Protection issues.
Account reconciliation.
Accuracy and attention to detail.Job Offer

This roles offers a competitive salary between £25,000-£30,000 plus benefits
