Job Details

Our Client based in Kendal is currently recruiting for a FLT driver to join them ongoing until the 12th December. This role is a Monday to Friday role working between 35 to 37.5 hours per week

In this role you will be responsible for training in house, therefore will hold a

certified industry accepted trainers certification in FLT training ( LLOPS ) and a current existing reach truck license.

You will train to our in house MENTOR approved training plan and, when not training, manage the reach truck driving team in their tasks and ensure compliance with safe FLT practices across the site

You will support the Co-ordinators and Distribution Centre Managers to ensure that all day-to-day area targets and Key Performance Indicators are achieved.

Essential - the 'must haves'

* Experience of managing and leading people.

A current valid certified industry accepted trainers certification in FLT training

( LLOPS ) and a current existing reach truck

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence colleagues.

* A high sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to work independently and to make effective decisions in a timely manner.

* The ability to allocate time effectively, handling multiple demands and competing priorities.

* The ability to work under pressure.

* PC literate with the ability to use software systems

* To be a qualified First Aider and/or Fire Warden as per departmental requirements

* To be IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) qualified as per departmental requirements.

Desirable - the 'nice to haves'

* Experience of interviewing and recruiting colleagues.

* Experience of working within a warehousing environment.
