Page Personnel are extremely excited to be partnered with our client exclusively in recruiting a fantastic position for a part-qualified Financial Accountant. This opportunity will offer the successful candidate a range of tasks including; financial & management accounting, business partnering and commercial experience.
Client Details
Our client is well-respected business with a head office in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. They will support office and WFH.
Description
The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:
Assist in the accurate and timely production of financial returns required for financial reporting, including statutory reporting, internal reporting, reporting to partners/Group/other stakeholders.
Prepare and post journal entries to the Ledger as required.
Assist in the periodic reporting process through preparing analysis on the ledger to be provided to the Financial Accountants / Senior Financial Accountant.
Assist with performing reconciliations and other appropriate controls surrounding the Ledger, investigating variances and escalating these as required.
Participate in the coordination of the statutory year end and group yea- end process, ensuring delivery to various stakeholder deadlines and compliance with business planning.
Input the required data for the Group reporting system (CPM), including periodic actuals, budgets and forecasts.
Engage with External Auditors, assisting with timetable coordination, planning and provision of information.
Assist in the delivery of P11Ds and PSA through preparing analysis provided to the Financial Accountants, liaising with third party service providers and the Shared Service Centre as required.
Assist with the application of the capitalisation process, through performing reviews on the ledger for un-capitalised items missing from the asset register.
Assist with the cash flow process through preparation of the daily banking and collating data on the cash flows to provide to the Financial Accountants for analysis.
Assist with the budget and forecasting process through preparing analysis on the ledger to provide to the Financial Accountants / Senior Financial Accountant.
Work with the FP&A team through the Business Partnering approach to assist with performing strategic review projects across the business.
Assist with the delivery of the commercial work programme as directed by the Senior Financial Accountant.
Review and adhere to the accounting policies as directed, proposing any updates if identified.
Build strong working relationships across all functions including undertaking and providing training/guidance as directed.
Assist the Financial Accountants / Senior Financial Accountant in analysing and improving current administrative and financial processes looking objectively at the way we work
Challenge thinking to deliver a compliant and professional service that fits operating plans and processes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.Profile
Our client will look for the following in the successful candidate:
Part Qualified in a Professional Accounting Qualification and willing to continue studies to be qualified in (ACA//ACCA/CIMA/ICAS)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
IT literate with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power point, etc.
Understanding of accounting and business compliance matters (IFRS, VAT, Payroll etc)
Logical and methodical approach to the role
Driven to achieve efficiencies with a commercial focusJob Offer
