Forklift Driver

A large distribution company are looking for a Forklift Driver to join their team on a Temporary – Permanent basis working on a day shift 10:00 – 18:30 Monday – Friday. The company themselves are a well-known logistics company in their area.

The day to day responsibilities for a Forklift Driver will be:

Picking orders in a high speed work environment.
Driving a Counterbalance Forklift.
Reading pick sheet paperwork.
Packing orders that have been picked ready for distribution.
General housekeeping of the warehouse.
Unloading containers of goods.
Other general warehouse duties.The requirements for a Forklift Driver will be:

Working to a high speed environment on a daily basis
There will be a level of physicality to this role.
A Valid, Up – to – date Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
Previous experience in a Warehousing environment is essential.
A high degree of accuracy will be needed to ensure the correct item are picked.
Be willing and able to work overtime as and when needed.This role is on a temporary – permanent basis being paid at £9.80 per hour with the potential for a permanent position for outstanding candidates after the completion of a 12 week period.
