Job Details
My Client, a leading FMCG company based in Middlesex are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer for a full time permanent role. The salary is between £25,000 to £30,000.
Your role will involve -
Creating Purchase Orders for wholesale stock items, sundry items and consumable items
Onboarding new products / brands data on the system
Regularly maintaining correct information such as delisted products and updating prices on the system
Regularly update and monitor wholesale products on the system
Be able to assist sales/brand managers and the purchasing team to achieve all sales goals
Providing full administrative support, helping with updating the pricing information and promotions through the system
Checking, monitoring and filing of all wholesale produce purchasing related paperwork
Chasing and expediting late/wrong deliveries
Analyse and monitor sales records, trends and economic conditions to anticipate buying patterns and flag to the relevant teams to ensure orders are fulfilled effectively
Ensure open communications between the buyer, the Sales and the Brands teams
Ensuring orders are allocated in a timely manner for operations to work as smoothly as possible
Be able to problem solve and provide satisfactory customer service to queries and problems from suppliers
Ensure that nonstock items are distributed to the requisitioning departments as soon as delivered
Help build strong working relationships with our suppliers
Ensure all wholesale products are correctly set up in the system and the regular orders placed
The ideal candidate will possess -
Previous experience in a similar role
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask
Able to work under pressure
Previous experience in a retail/FMCG environment
Attention to detail
Highly organised
Good Excel skills
